March 28, 2026 – Podcasting with Amber! Bri and I met earlier and recorded two episodes, and then our friend Amber joined us for an episode on being an enneagram 6!
March 29, 2026 – The doggos enjoying some ice cream on Lucy’s birthday! We have a favorite place that has a whole little ice cream shop set up in the corner of their store, just for dogs! They had half-birthday cake, half-peanut butter flavor.
March 30, 2026 – I was finally able to try a loop around the walking path that is right next door to where I live! It’s such a beautiful path, but I wasn’t sure how long it would take me to do a loop. I’m not a fast walker by any means, and I’m even slower these days with all my joint pain. It took 10 minutes, maybe? Not too bad!
March 31, 2026 – I walked by my bedroom this morning to see both girls splayed out in the sun, living their best lives. We love having so much more natural light in our new apartment!
April 1, 2026 – No April Foolin’ around here. Just a cat who looks so cozy, curled up on the bed, taking a nap.
(It wasn’t until late on April 1st that I realized I shared some big family news on April Fools’ Day, and some people may have thought I was playing a big joke. I promise I was not, and that would be a terrible thing to joke about!)
April 2, 2026 – It’s week 7 of methotrexate! As mentioned in a previous post, my rheumatologist moved me up to 20mg weekly from 15mg, and this is my second week taking that dose. I’m still not seeing much of a change in my symptoms (and I’m especially not ready to start weaning off prednisone), but it’s still early. (This pill container is much fuller in the morning; I take my mtx dose in the afternoon, separate from my other pills.)
April 3, 2026 – Action shot! LOOK AT THIS SWEET WIDDLE BEBE’S FACE. Whenever I’m sitting in my reading chair, she’ll come up to me like this and poke me with her paw. Then, I have to put my hand down so she can rub herself all over my hand. She’s so cute it hurts.
What’s the last thing you took a picture of?

The babies in the sunshine, oh so cute! Nothing better than a cat following the sun for naps.
I’m working on cleaning out the closet in my office, so I just took a picture of the shelf crammed with stuff, and then of the three-bags-full that will be going to the thrift store. Not great as photos, but hey, progress!
They loooove those sunny spots, especially in the morning!
You have to document your organization journey! I can definitely get on board with that.
I took a picture of Rex by the creek THAT I DID NOT FALL INTO to send to Elisabeth for CBWC!
Hooray for a cute photo of Rex by the creek AND not falling in!
Look at those sweet kitties soaking up the sun! Yay for lots of natural light!
I hope the mtx starts to make a difference but if I was a betting woman, my bet from the beginning was that you’d end up on Enbrel or Humira. It is not bad at all to do the weekly injections. I get the syringes as I like controlling how the med goes into my body but the preloaded syringes are most common and really easy to use. You will figure it out and the symptom relief is worth the inconvenience!
I am just ready for ANYTHING that will allow me to feel better and start weaning off prednisone. And I really want to get back to my HIIT workouts, argh!
If my cat is reaching out a paw to me, she wants to kill me. I can’t believe how cute it is that she ASKS for pets.
Last photo I took was of strawberry fluff at Easter brunch. Midwestern “salad”!!
My girls are very, very polite! Except when I’m trying to get Lila into a carrier, and then she turns into a monster.
I hope the methotrexate starts to work for you soon. Frustrating how long these things take.
I love the picture of the kitties sunbathing.
The last picture I took was of our Easter brunch. It was just the 3 of us, so not a lot.
They love their sunbaths, that’s for sure!
Hee hee… Lila. The last thing I took a picture of was Sylvie- she was in the middle of a yawn, so in the photo she looks like a VICIOUS KILLER, when in fact she’s a tiny, cute kitten.
Love the photo of Chip and Lucy with their ice cream!!!
I love a mid-yawn kitty photo! They always look so scary. Hehehe.
I loved the episode on 5 year plans and the AM/PM routines. Looking forward to learning about enneagram 6!
Kittens in the sun, kittens circled up like wooly bears are so cute!!! And that sweet girl extending the paw !
