One Photo Per Day: April 4 – 10

Saturday, April 4, 2026 – It’s Christmas in… April?! Our book club experience for March (scheduled the first weekend of April since it was hard to get everyone’s schedules to sync up in March!) was a Christmas party! This was a lot of fun: we brought food, played some Christmas trivia, made Christmas stockings with puffy paint, and ended the night with Jackbox games.

Sunday, April 5, 2026 – Easter was a weird day for me because I didn’t do anything related to the holiday! Instead, I slept in, enjoyed some time reading on the patio, and got a lot of to-dos knocked out.

Monday, April 6, 2026 – I am in love with my new tech station in the corner of my office. The shelf I got is perfect!

Tuesday, April 7, 2026 – My mom’s house is currently furniture-less, aside from her dining room table, bed, and the desk in her office. The dogs are very out of sorts being without a couch. Last week, my mom and I went to trivia, and when she checked on the dogs on her Ring app, they were pacing around the living room, looking extremely pitiful. We left trivia early, and my mom decided she wouldn’t leave them alone for too long until her furniture got delivered (which is happening today!). On Tuesday evening, she had some appointments, so I told her I would come over and hang with the dogs, which is honestly a delight. I love these babies! We did a lot of snuggling, a lot of kissing, and a lot of reading.

Wednesday, April 8, 2026 – Does it look like Lila’s hammock isn’t leaning as hard as it used to? Well, that’s because homegirl lost .37 lbs in the past few weeks! I took her to the vet for a booster shot and asked them to weigh her since I have her on a diet now. And she lost some weight! We’re trending in the right direction.

Thursday, April 9, 2026 – A much-needed and incredibly relaxing massage. I need to know how massage therapists feel when they hear their clients snoring because I definitely woke myself up a few times. (Jenny???)

Friday, April 10, 2026 – It was a glorious Friday! Weather in the 70s, blue skies, a slight breeze. My walk was sensational!

Where did your last walk take place?

We did our family Easter dinner on Saturday night, so Sunday was just a normal weekend day for us as well.

Those poor couchless doggies! I’m glad that you were available to give them some love to tide them over until their new couch gets there. Doggo wouldn’t know what to do with herself if she lost one of her snuggle spots.

Go Lila go!!! Slim and trim!!!

My last walk was: you guessed it!!! Last night’s after dinner dog walk.

The dogs were DEFINITELY out of sorts, and are very happy to have some new snuggle spots to enjoy. 🙂

Look at that gorgeous walking path! What a beautiful day!
Your book club is so fun – you guys do so many cool things. I love the stockings!
Where was my last walk…I guess yesterday Rex and I went on an “urban” walk, which means I parked at the library and walked the nature path behind it, and then we walked down to the beach and back up. Fridays are usually longer-walk days for us, so about 6km.

It’s amazing that such a beautiful walking path is so close to me – AND that my hips can handle the longer distance now!

I hate when I fall asleep during a massage, because I feel like I’m missing the enjoyment! I mean, my muscles are getting the benefit whether I’m awake or asleep, but I want to feel every minute of it.

You had beautiful weather for your walk, and YAY! to being able to be up and about again! I remember those early walks as my RA meds started kicking in. I had to take a lot of breaks and go slowly. For me it was pain in my feet, which is the first place I have symptoms to this day. I won’t say that every day was a little better, but certainly every week.

Oh, that’s funny! I’m always like, “This was a GREAT massage because I fell asleep!” LOL.

It’s been great to be able to take longer walks and not feel sore afterward! For a while, I was trying to push myself too much too soon and definitely paid for it.

Your tech station is very cool – I love how the shredder is at the top! Awww, Lila in her hammock is so sweet. That looks like such a beautiful place to walk!

It was hard to find a shelf that would be tall enough to hold the shredder and wide enough for the printer, so it was very exciting to come across this option!

I have never fallen asleep during a massage. I don’t think I could even though I am in a relaxed state! But I do not fall asleep super easily. I bet the therapist takes it as a compliment!!

Your book club is so much fun! I love your Christmas in April celebration!

Hee hee! I love it when my clients snore. It shows they’re VERY relaxed.
Oh poor Chip and Lucy! Glad the couches are arriving soon. Lila is looking svelte. Eloise looks like she’s plotting to kill me, as usual.

Haha – thank you for weighing in! That makes me feel better. <3

Eloise has many murder plots going on behind those eyeballs!

That’s how our Easters normally are too. Sounds like you made the most of it!

Aww that is exciting the pups visited! And exciting about your mom’s new furniture. I hope she is loving it all so far!

She is so happy with the new furniture! It’s super comfortable, too, and the dogs are happy to have some extra snuggle spots.
