Categories: Recurring Series

Currently in March

anticipating a few nights with the dogs next month while my mom and stepdad are on a cruise

researching brunette hairstyle colors as I’m making my triumphant return to brunette soon

buying new Airpod Pros, as they were on sale for $200 and my old earbuds were continuously failing me

thinking about cleaning up my eating and how to do that in a way that doesn’t feel like punishment

needing to restart my AppleTV subscription so I can watch season 3 of Ted Lasso!

happy to be back in standard time. I love a late sunset!

excited for the Taylor Swift concert in just a few weeks! It’s going to be an epic night.

wondering if it’s time for me to “graduate” from therapy. I think I have gotten exactly what I needed to get out of it at this moment in my life, and I can move forward with the tools I was given.

embarrassed that I put in a maintenance request for what I thought was a broken garbage disposal… turns out, I just had two measuring spoons stuck in the disposal that were causing it to not work.

hoping to visit Charleston this summer… doing some light research to find out if it’s feasible with my budget

loving our book club experiences this year. We are doing so many fun things and more to come! (I’m considering an escape room or axe throwing when my month to pick the activity comes around.)

wanting some summer clothes that fit my body well and make me feel good. I placed a big order on Old Navy over the weekend when they were having a 30% off sale, and I’m hoping everything I ordered fits me well.

writing podcast outlines and blog posts… but no fiction. I keep wondering when I’ll get the urge to go back to my novel, but it just isn’t happening.

loathing Ron DeSantis. He’s the worst and the way he is making life so much harder for teachers, trans kids, queer people, and girls is so frustrating. Why do these Republican politicians think queerness is something to go after when there are so many bigger issues out there?

watching Happy Endings. It’s such a travesty that this perfect show only has 3 seasons, but when I realized it was on HBO Max, I knew I had to dive into a rewatch. At least it’ll be a quick one?

preparing to start planning for the next season of the podcast! We’ll release season 4 over the next 6 weeks and then take a few weeks’ break. We’ll probably take a month off recording episodes and then get back to it sometime in May so we can release season 5 at the beginning of June. Whee!

feeling giddy about a budding relationship (it’s in its early stages, but there have been lots of fun dates and excitement so far!)

What are you currently anticipating and watching?

These pics are all darling– your book club sounds awesome. I am excited to see your new ‘do– my hair is getting too light, but I am unsure how to make the transition.

We have really ramped up our book club meetings this year, that’s for sure. It’s been really fun to see how creative we are!

New ‘do will be going down on Friday. I’m excited about the change!

I am not going to a Taylor Swift concert (for so many reasons), but I am listening to a playlist on Spotify built off of her Eras set list and I’m so excited for you to go and I hope you take lots of pictures and notes and I can be there vicariously through you.

Also, don’t be embarrassed about your maintenance request. I’m sure they’ve seen worse and it’s better that they caught this before it turned into a MAJOR maintenance request, you know?

I will be soaking in the experience of Taylor Swift most definitely! I can’t wait to give a full report when it’s over. I can’t believe it’s only 12 days away! AHH!

I would guess they were happy for a simple maintenance request, probably! At least I wasn’t there when they came to fix it. Ha.

Yesss just waiting for all of Ted Lasso to drop then I’ll restart Apple TV and binge, bring it on! At the mo, I’m savouring Parenthood (season 3).

I need to get something to put in the kitchen sink drain to save my teaspoons! I have ruined so many because they fall into the disposal, ahhh.

Parenthood! That show was so, so good but so emotional that I can never watch it again. Loved it though!

I need some new summer clothes that make me feel good about my body, too. I’d love to see what you got! And lol at the measuring spoons; I feel like maintenance guys probably see things like this a lot. Try not to feel too bad!

Old Navy was pretty good for some nice summer clothes! I’ll have to detail my favorite items on a post – stay tuned!

Clothes that fit and makes one feel good – that’s so important! Sometimes I feel like it’s so superficial, how much clothing I buy, but also I feel like my body and comfort level keeps changing so I’m constantly re-examining if the clothes I have really make me feel good – emotionally and physically.
Your book club spread looks delicious.
I am currently looking forward to our big spring break trip! we haven’t been on a plane since January 2019, so it will be exciting.
We’ve started a whole bunch of different shows – Pokerface, Acapulco, Only Murders in the Building…. The Husband says we can’t watch Ted Lasso until we are caught up on at least one other show.

Yes, I love that phrasing – re-examining if the clothes I have really make me feel good. That is something I have been trying to do and to recognize that I deserve to feel good in what I’m wearing no matter what. I was able to find some great options with Old Navy, so I’m very grateful for that!

Only Murders in the Building is one of my faves! It’s so good. I’ve been wanting to watch Pokerface because I’ve heard such great things.

I love those charcuterie boards, and the candles as well! Sounds like a really fun book club.
I hope you’ll share what you get from Old Navy! I was in there the other day and couldn’t find anything I liked. And I used to love that store! I’m suspicious that I’ve gotten too old for it (sigh.)
Ugh… DeSantis. Are you scared of the 2024 presidential election yet? Who do you hate more, DeSantis or Trump? Let’s just not think about it, for now.

At this point, I only do Old Navy online. I can easily return their stuff to my nearby store but I always have the hardest time finding stuff in my size when I’m in the store! Online makes things so much easier.

I am not looking forward to the 2024 presidential election! Who is more hateful, Don or Ron? I just don’t know! DeSantis has done so much damage to our state.

I am excited to see your new hair color!

And I know you can clean up your eating and not have it feel like punishment – that is what I am doing now! Let me know if you want someone to talk to (not for advice, but because you need someone to listen).

The concert is going to be SO good! I can’t wait to hear all about it!

I am LOLing about the measuring spoons!

I hope the clothes work! And I am very excited about the relationship!

I don’t get the obsession with queer people and transgender people. People are going to live differently than you. SO WHAT.

I am currently anticipating a lot of work I need to do for my husband’s work. I have been watching Never Have I Ever… It’s cute!

I would love to talk to you about healthy eating! I need to clean up my eating but ugh, it’s so hard. And I want it to feel GOOD.

Never Have I Ever is on my to-be-watched list! (Along with a billion other shows, sigh) I’ve heard great things!

I’m working on my plane ride to LA for work while listening to Taylor Swift. There are a lot of songs on the new album I haven’t listened to as I am usually listening to songs in the car w/ the boys so I have to avoid all of the songs w/ swearing – which is kind of a lot! So it’s been fun to listen to the whole album while working. I love that you get to see her in concert. I hope to see her in the future!!

So excited to hear about a budding relationship!! 🙂

Confession time: I have not listened to Taylor Swift in years. That said, I need some joy in my life right now. Perhaps Taylor is the answer (to everything)? Maybe?
I LOVE Old Navy – for the same reason! I can never find my size or even what I want in the store! Their website is awesome, and I love the basics (long-sleeved and short-sleeved shirts, tank tops, leggings, fleece leggings) that I get there. They last a long time, too – I’ve had many of my things from them for years at this point. Can’t wait to see what you got.
And your HAIR – can’t wait to see that, either! I’m impressed. I don’t color my hair and I’m not brave enough to start now, LOL. 🙂

Oh this book club does sound like a fun thing to be part of.
An ax throwing class. Now that is unique.
By now your hair is dark and I already told you how much I like it. It does look good on you.
Whiting you all the best for the budding relationship.
