I haven’t done one of these posts since October and I have so many fun things coming up for me over the next few months, so I thought it was time to do this again!
Today, I am looking forward to… road tripping to Savannah!
My mom and I leave this morning for our weekend trip to Savannah! I am so, so excited to hit the road and spend the weekend in my favorite city. The drive will take about six hours, so we’ll arrive sometime in the afternoon. We plan on checking into our hotel, going to the expo for the Savannah Women’s 5k, and then walking over to Crystal Beer Parlor for dinner.
This weekend, I am looking forward to… running the Savannah Women’s 5k and exploring a little more of Savannah.
I am feeling good about the 5k. Of course, after I write a post on how much I hate running, I have some of my best (and easiest!) runs I’ve had since I started training for this race. Hopefully, the race goes well and I even surprise myself by enjoying the course. We most likely won’t do too much while in Savannah – probably walk around the historic squares and Forsyth Park, check out this cute bookstore, and find a yummy place for dinner. (I tried to make reservations at Olde Pink House but they were completely booked!) My mom and I may also go to Yoga in the Park on Sunday morning, something the race is throwing for free. (It may be too cold for that, so we’ll see. I want to do it, though!)
This month, I am looking forward to… having the first brunch book club at the pool of the year.
These are my favorite book club events! We all bring a breakfast dish to share (I always bring a “parfait bar“), drink mimosas, chat about the book choice and life in general, and then spend some time hanging out in the pool. The water might be a little too cold this time of the year, but no matter! It will still be a fun time, as always.
Next month, I am looking forward to… taking my seventh cruise.
Saturday will mark 50 days until the cruise! I am soooo excited! I’ve had two different people I follow on Instagram leave on cruises this month, and it gets me so excited for when it is my turn. Every time I think about this vacation, I get so many excited butterflies in my stomach. Hurry up, May!
This year, I am looking forward to… moving in with Bri!
We set a tentative move-in date for July 25, but obviously, it depends on apartment availability and all that jazz. (Luckily, we both have flexibility for our move-out dates.) We’ve visited 9 apartments in Tampa so far, and we have about 6-7 more to look at before we’ll try to name our top picks. Apartment hunting has been super fun, though. (I love apartment hunting and moving in general. I’m weird, I know.) I have a crazy spreadsheet that outlines all the different places we’ve looked at, move-in costs, likes/dislikes, etc. Thankfully, Bri and I have very similar tastes in apartments + areas of Tampa where we want to live, which is making this process go so smoothly. I’m just really excited to move to Tampa and shake up my life a bit!
What are you currently looking forward to?

Oh man, I wish I could say I love move. I loathe it, and I am dreading this move in May. My building is SO PARTICULAR, though. You can only move between 9-4, M-F and you can only rent the elevator for 2 hours so that means I will likely have to hire movers (again!) because I don’t see Phil and I moving all of my stuff on my own in 2 hours and I can’t ask friends to take time off from work to help me move… so I am feeling very cranky about this move!!
Anyways, shifting to the positive! 🙂 I’m looking forward to a special date night on Sunday night with Phil. We are going to a restaurant I’ve been wanting to go to for awhile that has an awesome $50/couple date night that includes, wine, appetizer, entree and dessert! I’m also looking forward to seeing my family over Easter, seeing a bunch of college friends in May when they are in town for a baby shower, and going to Colorado to meet up with Kyria for some hiking at the end of May!

I’m most definitely looking forward to my trip to Vancouver on Sunday for the Maroon 5 concert! It will be a fun overnight getaway for me and my mom 😀
I love house hunting – when I’m not actually looking to buy a house. It’s so interesting to see the different houses on the market at all the different price points. Looking with the intention to buy, however, is stressful and causes Kyle and I headaches.

Have so much fun in Savannah! 🙂 And the 5k? You got this!

I already know you had a great weekend in Savannah and a great race (thanks Instagram!) 🙂
I am looking forward to our trip on THURSDAY! EEEI! But I also don’t want it to get here any quicker because I need time for my body to heal itself from this stupid strep throat infection I came down with. So grumpy about that.

Apartment hunting was equal parts stressful and fun for me. It was great to see places and imagine living there, and finding places that were nice AND in our budget (like the one we ended up picking). But it all felt very rushed, like “oh, hurry up and pick us or else we can’t guarantee we have openings!” and it was hectic trying to find time to see all of the places. I had a crazy spreadsheet too, LOL – Erik’s coworkers were impressed (they knew I made it, not him). Good luck on your search!

I didn’t realize you were moving. So excited for you!!!
