There are less than 10 days until Christmas, and even though this holiday season is going to be a heavy one (2020 keeps being the worst, ya know?), I am going to try to be as merry as I can. Every year, I like to give you guys a peek into the Christmas wish list I send to my family. It’s always fun to put this list together and anticipate what might be under the tree for me this year. (And yesssss… Christmas isn’t about the gifts. We all know that! Gifts are still fun to receive, though!)
So, without further ado, here’s what’s on my Christmas wish list this year:
1) Pots and pans set ($150) – It’s time for me to have a grown-up pots-and-pans set. Right now, all of my pots and pans are mismatched items that I bought when I moved into my apartment four years ago and consist of a frying pan and two small-ish saucepans. This pots-and-pans set gets fantastic reviews, is in my favorite color, and includes all of the kitchen stuff I need!
2) Bullet journal kit ($28) – I have grand plans of starting a bookish bullet journal in 2021, after seeing Rachel at All the RAD Reads talk about hers a few months ago. So I asked for this adorable bullet journal kit (that comes with stencils and stickers and fun pens!) for Christmas.
3) Popcorn machine ($50) – Popcorn popped in a popcorn popper (say that five times fast) is the best popcorn, don’t you think? When I lived with my mom, we used to have one of these popcorn poppers and it always made the most delicious popcorn, and I really want one for my own place!
4) Lighted makeup mirror ($35) – I used to have a floor-length mirror on the back of my bedroom door that was super useful when applying makeup. But that mirror got damaged in the move and I really need something that allows me to get up close when putting on makeup (especially when I’m not wearing contacts, which is often). I did a quick search on Amazon and found this lighted mirror that I immediately loved and added to my Christmas list.
5) Cat coasters ($15) – How adorable are these coasters? I really need some new coasters, and of course, they should be cat-themed! Amazon currently states this style is unavailable, but I’m crossing fingers and toes that Santa got the memo before they sold out. 🙂
6) Fuzzy socks ($19) – It’s been cold in Florida recently (cold enough that I’ve been able to turn off my air conditioner!) and it made me realize that I do not have a proper collection of fuzzy socks to wear when it’s cold in the mornings, especially now that I’m working from home. And if I’m going to get fuzzy socks, shouldn’t they be cat-themed? (The answer is always yes.)
7) Cat and books shirt ($20) – My collection of bookish t-shirts keeps growing and growing, and I basically don’t wear anything else anymore. (Lounge clothes are the theme of 2020.) I found this adorable shirt when looking for gift ideas to send to my mom, and it’s basically perfect. (The amount of cat-themed gifts on this list speaks to who I am as a person now. I am a cat person, through and through.)
8) Outside area rug ($63) – I’m so excited to have a usable balcony to enjoy, but it needs some furniture first! I added this cute area rug to my Christmas wish list because it’s one of those expensive purchases I know I would put off for months and months (why are rugs so expensive???), even though it would make hanging out on my balcony a little more cozy. (Next up: chairs, a little table, twinkly lights, and maybe some plants!)
9) Exercise bands ($35) – I want to get back into a regular strength-training routine next year, as it’s my favorite form of exercise, and I added exercise bands to my Christmas wish list after seeing someone I follow on Instagram talk about how great they are for at-home workouts. This set includes extras like ankle straps and a door anchor, too!
10) Books – Of course I added a few books to my Christmas list! What do you take me for? I asked for a handful of titles, including Rodham by Curtis Sittenfeld, Stamped from the Beginning by Ibram X. Kendi, Me and White Supremacy by Layla Saad, and Millenneagram by Hannah Paasch.
What’s on your wish list this year?

I love those cat coasters!!

I asked for smart wool socks (key in MN!), a new cookbook, and Obama’s book. My parents give us cash and socks so I don’t have to give my mom a wish list. Phils mom is the only erson who shops for us. We’ve told her she could stop but she doesn’t want to which I get. Phil and I don’t exchange gifts either! I know that sounds grinchy! But it works for us! I get my fill on present buying when shopping for Paul but we try to keep it low key since he gets a lot from the grandparents!!!! But I love seeing what others ask for! Hope you love bullet journaling. That is what I do although my approach is sooo basic!

I always love seeing your list because it gives me ideas for mine! I think you need to add these, too: https://www.amazon.com/Set-Purrfect-Pinch-Bowls-L46003/dp/B07GL4VMC5
Millenneagram sounds good! I am excited to read your review! And you will love having a matching set of pots and pans!
My list has lots of rock painting stuff, workout stuff, and a few puzzles!

Popcorn is the BEST. My parents have a Stir-Crazy popper (it uses oil) and there is literally nothing like it. When I was super-sick a few years ago and didn’t want to eat anything, they actually sent me popcorn and it was one of the first things I enjoyed eating in what felt like months! (My dad also loves to salt it so… yeah. :>) Those socks would be adorable if…well, if they weren’t cats. Ha! NOT a cat person, sorry! Good luck with the bullet journaling. I’ve never managed to successfully adopt that method of journaling, but Lisa’s comment on her basic approach has me kind of intrigued…

I love taking a peek at other people’s wishlists. It’s one of my favorite things around the holidays….

I love looking at wish lists and I hope you got most of these! I have a bookish/entertainment bullet journal that I did kind bad with in 2020, so I need to update that and hopefully keep up on it in the new year. It’s definitely fun to look back on!!
