January 1, 2026 – Starting my last year of my One Line a Day journal! I can’t believe I’ve kept up this habit for so long!
January 2, 2026 – Bri came over in the afternoon to do vision boarding! We talked about our goals for 2026 and got some podcast recording dates on the schedule.
January 3, 2026 – Well, you guys know all the details around these microchip feeders! It’s been a long week.
January 4, 2026 – Lazy football Sunday. I took a nap and the dogs cuddled with me, which made me very happy.
January 5, 2026 – This girl loves a hammock. And I love this girl!
January 6, 2026 – My January stack from Book of the Month!
January 7, 2026 – Look at my sweet babies! I gave them a new type of food this morning, and it was sardines. It looked terrible, but all of their wet food looks terrible so I didn’t think anything of it. But they were NOT fans and after an hour, when their food was still untouched, I caved and gave them a can of more appetizing food. They were very happy!
January 8, 2026 – I went a little wild at my hair appointment and chopped off a ton of inches. It’s so short now! But it feels good to get some length off and start the new year with a fresh ‘do.
January 9, 2026 – The Traitors is BACK. And my favorite Survivor player and favorite Big Brother player are on this season. Alan Cumming 4EVER.
What’s something you took a photo this week?

This is a VERY fun post! Oooh you are going to love The Love Haters! At least I think you will? It’s a delight of a book. I don’t think it’s very spicy though and I I know you like the spicy romances, but it is just wonderful and also there’s a giant dog in it. What more can one ask for? The title though, the title is kind of dumb. But who cares?
Your hair looks great! A big chop can feel so nice! I had a haircut this week but it was a minor chop.
I took a lot of photos this week and they are mostly selfies because I am doing a post on makeup for Monday. Also a photo of my amaryllis which is in bloom!
I don’t need my romances to be spicy to enjoy them! And I’ve read a few Katherine Center books so I know her books are closed door. I’ve heard such rave reviews about this book that I decided to add it to my BOTM box!
I love this post! My camera roll is full of dog and hiking pictures. Some with just the dog and some with just the hiking scene, many with both a dog and hiking.
I also got about two inches off to freshen up. New year new hair! It always feels good to get a lot of length taken off.
Dog and hiking pictures – yessss.
My hair feels so light now! I’m really enjoying the shorter length.
WOW. This is so good.
I took a photo of my tired and sweaty face after the cycling class. I hate exercise but I loved the class. I need to remember that…
Those kittehs!!!!!
The best part of doing this photo project is that there will be SO MANY KITTEH PHOTOS. Yay!
I love the hair, and thanks for reminding me about The Love Haters! I just put it on hold on Libby 🙂 This week, I took a photo of a botanic gardens light and music event, my friend coming over for dinner, and my daughter doing gymnastics.
Yay – I hope you enjoy The Love Haters. I’m excited to read it!
Such lovely photos this week. <3
Your hair looks great! It feels so good to chop some length! Yours is still longer than mine even with a big cut. I feel like my length (just above my shoulders) is perfect for me. I just got mine cut this week, too, during my shouldless day.
My camera roll has pictures of the kids. Taco posed with his elephant and asked me to take a pic and send it to papa. Then the boys made some creations with their plus pluses so I took a picture at Paul’s request to send to my SIL to send to her son who Paul is obsessed with. I am often asked to take and send photos to specific people!!
Okay, I don’t know why I love the detail that your kids constantly ask you to take pictures to send to certain people, but that’s so adorable! And Taco’s neverending adoration of your dad will never cease to delight me.
I love photo-a-day posts! Your haircut looks nice, and I’m thinking it’s time for me to have a haircut soon! I love the kitty in her hammock photo!
My most recent photo is of our cats just hanging out. They aren’t even doing anything! Yet, it was a photo-worthy moment!
Every moment with cats is a photo-worthy moment. There are times when I take 10+ photos of one of my cat’s sleeping because they are just SO DAMN CUTE.
I love your Line a Day journal glimpse! I seem to start off each new year by writing the wrong year 😂
Your Jan stack is so pretty! How are you with Katherine Center? She’s always has great ideas but they never hit for me!
Love the fresh locks!
I’m hit or miss with Katherine Center. Most of her books have been 3 stars for me, so I wasn’t going to read this book, but so many people have raved about it. She gets one more try from me!
My passport expired on my birthday last year and I took a new photo to renew it! I look so pissed off in the photo, but I love it anyway. That was so exciting.
I’m glad your girls are geniuses and figured out the feeder! That’s going to make your life so much easier!
Taking a passport photo is so stressful, lol. And the not smiling! I always look so angry. Sigh.
Your hair looks great! I need to get mine cut as well.
To answer your question… I took lots of cat photos this week. I can’t resist! They’re so snuggly and cute.
I’m trying not to make 90% of my photos for this project be cat photos BUT I WANT TO.
This is a fun project. I did the 365 challenge a couple of years ago. Maybe I’ll attempt it again in the future… for now, I’ll be happily following along 🙂
I have restarted my One Line a Day journal again after taking a 2 year break. I write every night before going to bed and it is a real treat to read afterwards what happened on that day years past. Som much stuff has changed and then often the same thing 5 years back. Crazy.
I love your vision board(s). I have never done something like that.
But wait! whose vision board is whose? (I’m guessing you are on the right, but…?)
Also, I love this photo-a-day challenge because there are even MORE photos of kitties and doggies. Thank you for sharing! <3
