Thanksgiving Day was a good, quiet one. I started my day with breakfast and then reading on the couch while sipping an iced coffee. Then, I went for a 15-minute walk outside and got ready for my day. Around noon, I drove over to my mom’s house where my stepdad was hard at work making our Thanksgiving meal. He did an amazing job!
My brother, sister-in-law, and nephews came over a little after 1pm and we soon sat down for our meal, which was so very delicious! I love Thanksgiving food so much. The rest of the afternoon was spent watching football, nibbling on dessert, and chit-chatting. We all left a little after 4pm. I read for a bit on the couch before take a nice lil post-Thanksgiving feast nap. Perfect!
And now it is Thanksgiving evening. I brought home some pumpkin bread, so I’ll likely heat up a slice while I watch the evening’s football game. I also need to work on my pre-cruise to-do list. There’s a lot I need to do before we leave on Sunday morning!
I hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving, if you celebrate. If you don’t, I hope you had a lovely Thursday!

Happy Thanksgiving, friend. It sounds like you had a lovely, low-key day with your favorite people (and pets!) and excellent food. 🙂
Your ear rings are amazing 🙂

People, pets, and food = all the makings for a wonderful day. 🙂 Thank you, dear friend!

Yay for great Thanksgiving events! It looks like a wonderful day and wow – I forgot you were leaving so soon on the cruise. How EXCITING!!!!
Also – that blanket, iced coffee – with festive pillows in the background look SO festive. And of course the earrings are basically the best thing ever.
Stephany
The festive pillows are bringing me SO much joy this holiday season. A very good purchase!

I love that photo of the dogs looking hopeful. Also, your earrings are very cute!

They were just HOPING my stepdad would accidentally drop some turkey for them. Poor things. 😉

Stephany

Wow! What an awesome, low-key day. I am so envious of the people who don’t have to travel though multiple states on major holidays! I’m glad you had such a lovely time with your family – it looks like a wonderful time.
Stephany
I feel very grateful that I don’t have to travel for holidays. I imagine that is a very stressful experience!

Sounds like a wonderful Thanksgiving day! Ours was pretty great, too, and the food was EXCELLENT! I also love Thanksgiving food. I hear of people who don’t like turkey and I think – you need to have a turkey made by my mom or brother. They have it down to a science and it always turns out amazing!
Stephany
I love turkey, too, but I probably need to try the turkey your mom/brother makes. Thanksgiving food is my favorite food!
