Hey, friends! Let’s take a snapshot of yesterday, shall we? As a reminder, this post idea comes from Torrie at To Love and to Learn. It’s a fun way to take a quick look at a day in my life. 🙂
Time I woke up: 6:00 a.m. (Well, full disclosure, my alarm went off at 6 a.m., but I snoozed it until 6:30, ha. The cats were being snuggly and I just didn’t want to get up!)
First thing I did upon waking: A Peloton workout! I queued up a 30-minute spin class with Cody Rigsby, and if that’s not the best way to start a day, I don’t know what is.
Today’s weather: It started off in the low 60s and then warmed up to the upper 70s. Sunny and gorgeous all day long! Florida will be going through a bit of a warm-up over the next few days (highs in the upper 70s) but then should get cool again over the weekend, yay!
An out-of-the-ordinary thing that happened today: Probably all of the meetings I had today! I had five meetings in total, which is very unusual for me. Typically, I’ll have 1-2 per day but I was popping in and out of Zoom chats all day long.
Last thing I read (not on the Internet): Disability Visibility, which I just started last night.
Last thing I read (on the Internet): A Reddit forum devoted to discussing Crooked Media podcasts. I just finished listening to Saturday’s Lovett or Leave It episode and had some strong opinions about one segment and wanted to see if others felt the same way.
Last website I visited: My own blog to find the prompts for this post! Hehe.
Last show I watched: Brooklyn 99 (are you surprised?)
Last thing I said: “Aww, look at those sisters. You two just love each other!” (I was folding laundry and saw Lila grooming Eloise on the head. It was adorable.)
Last thing I ate: An ice cream bar.
What I was doing an hour ago: Editing and uploading the pictures I wanted to include in this blog post
What I will be doing an hour from now: I’ll be cozied up in bed with my book! Yay!
Current whereabouts of other members of my household: Lila is currently sitting next to me rubbing her face against my laptop screen while Eloise is eating a late dinner. 🙂
One thing I crossed off my to-do list today: Work-wise, I needed to re-post a bunch of website pages because the content I published last month somehow disappeared (annoying) and I got that done during one of my (many!) meetings. Personal-wise, I wanted to do a load of laundry (mainly, all the towels that I used to dry my kitchen floor when my washer flooded). And yes, I can use my washer again! Maintenance came by on Monday morning and apparently, one of the hoses in the washer got dislodged. So, no new washer/dryer for me (ha), but I’m glad it’s usable again.
What was your weather like yesterday? Tell me the last thing you read!

Aww, I love that you’re using my prompts!
The last thing I read was Crying in H Mart, which I’m hoping to finish today. It’s a little heavier than some of what I’ve been reading lately, but I figured I need to shift back into “normal” reading eventually — the pandemic has made it hard for me to read anything too depressing or focus on reading much (plus the flower farm took up so much of my time, so there’s that).
5 Zoom meetings in one day sounds like my worst nightmare. Glad you made it through all right 🙂

Love you are coloring with your ice cream bar – that’s the life!
We had sunny weather with WARM temps… before the rug gets pulled out!!! We hit freezing temps this weekend for HIGHS
I’m finishing up Oona out of Order & am loving it.
NGS
The last thing I read was a bit of “The Guest List” on my Kindle when I first woke up. I just picked up a slew of library books, so I’m excited to have so many options for what to read next!

Our weather is annoyingly warm again. Over the weekend it felt so good, but now we’re back up to 80. Well, it’s better than 90. Or 100.
All I’ve been reading are lots and lots of blog posts. I HAVE TO start reading a book again! I’m still in my post-Harry Potter slump. Sigh.

So glad your washer/dryer is fixed. And yay for starting the day with Cody Rigsby – as you know, I fully endorse this 🙂 (are you watching him on DWTS?).
Weather was cool and rainy here in NorCal yesterday (and we’re expecting another winter storm). The last thing I read your blog post (ha!)…. book-wise I am currently trying to get through “A very stable genius”. (I KNOW, DON’T ASK!)
I love these type of posts because you get a glimpse into your daily life. Thanks for sharing this again. I might do another one of those during NaBloPoMo myself 🙂

This is such a fun idea! I might do a snapshot of my day sometime. I love that you started the day with Peloton!
Weather is chilly and windy here, but no snow, so all good. I’m glad your washer was fixed, I don’t think I’d survive long without a washer!
Lisa of Lisa's Yarns
The last thing I read was “The Final Revival of Opal and Nev.” I”m not done but should finish it in the next couple of days. I’m not loving it? It’s ok and good enough to keep reading, though. I’m also reading Caste so maybe the combo of the 2 books is the issue? I don’t like reading 2 books at the same time but I didn’t want to read Caste straight through – I’m reading 2 chapters/day so I can absorb it.
Our weather here is cold. You would hate it ha! It’s around 30 degrees and kind of breezy out there. We had some snow over the weekend but it didn’t accumulate. I’m not really ready for it but Paul was SO EXCITED. So it’s good to have a kid around to remind you of the joy of snow!

Sooo glad the washer is functional again! Ah, modern “conveniences”. Weather? Unseasonably warm today. Yesterday, in contrast, it was unseasonably cold. At this point, I’d go for seasonably cold with reasonable temps. But I’m not in charge.
Last thing read? Um, an article on the genetics of schizophrenia? (Don’t ask…)
Love this idea – and like others, may steal it. I’m not NaBloPoMo’ing but having some ideas for less heavy posts is so helpful. <3
