Stephany’s Christmas Wonderland

There’s nothing I love more than seeing my apartment all decorated for Christmas. While I like a minimalist interior every other month of the year, all bets are off when December rolls around. I want every available space covered in holiday knick-knacks, sparkly garland, twinkling lights, and sweet Christmas signage. Every year, I seem to accumulate more Christmas decorations—right now, I have two big bins to store all of my decorations and I may need to add a third soon!—because I just can’t stop myself when I see all the signs and knick-knacks at TJ Maxx, Homegoods, Target, etc. Christmas decorations make me so happy! Next year, I think I’m going to add some Christmas pillows to my decor because I think that’s the one thing my apartment is missing.

I love transforming my apartment into a Christmas wonderland every year, and I hope you enjoyed this little tour through my apartment.

    It’s so beautiful!

I love the snowman countdown “clock.” It looks so cozy and festive and the perfect mix of cheer without seeming cluttered or overdone. Looks like something from a magazine (in a good way; like very believable and cozy)!

I also couldn’t help but appreciate how neatly your books are displayed; they look so aesthetically pleasing and almost look like a Christmas decoration all on their own!

I love it so much! Everything is so pretty, and I love the lights. Yes, you should get some Christmas pillows- you will love them. One of my favorite things to do is go shopping after Christmas and buy things on sale- then I pack them away, and when I take out my Christmas decorations the next year sometimes I don’t even remember what I bought. It’s so fun! Looking around my house, I think my nicest things were bought on clearance after Christmas. Although it seems like it’s harder now to find nice things on sale- Pier 1 used to be my favorite place for that. I really miss that store!

So beautiful! Also I don’t think I’ve seen the exterior of your apt before – it looks like a really nice complex! And you have a nice balcony space.

We are pretty minimalist when it comes to decorations. Maybe with time I will add to our collection but Phil is even more of a minimalist than me so it would be a hard sell. 😉

Seeing other peoples’ decorations makes me so happy. I don’t decorate, myself, because I never know exactly what to do. My mother had a very firm idea of what should be done for each holiday, each year. So I’ve never really developed my own approach (nor have I really developed any sense of how to furnish and decorate an apartment… sad, for someone who is [sigh] probably considered “middle aged” at this point…).

Your apartment makes me so happy! And the photo I love the most is of the palm tree, juxtaposed with the Christmas tree in the window. 😀

I love how much you embrace the holidays and decorate for yourself! Amazing!
