I hadn’t planned on saying anything for a while, but it was made “Facebook official” on Wednesday night, so I feel I should address it on my blog. So! I am seeing someone. Someone who has completely changed my world and makes me enormously happy. And it’s new – super new – but everything just feels right with him. You know? There’s no drama, no wondering how he’s feeling. He makes me laugh. He’s smart. He’s kind. He’s sincere. He’s so fucking romantic that I’m in this constant state of swooniness. (<– Totes a word.) I mean, he’s a Patriots fan, so he’s not perfect by any means. It’s been a whirlwind, though, and I’m so excited to see how things unfold with him.
The high of my week was date night with Alex. We had dinner (I barely ate half my meal… APPETITE, PLEASE COME BACK!), watched a Christmas lights show, strolled around Barnes & Noble, and then sat in his car for a while talking. It was so, so nice. And easy. And fun. And basically perfect. (And this was the night he asked me to be his girlfriend, which HELLO SWOON.)
The low of my week was still not having an appetite. I mean, it’s good because I’ve lost 6 lbs in two weeks, but also not good because I really miss the enjoyment I used to have toward food. I was even scrolling through Instagram and saw a picture of a cupcake and my stomach twisted. A CUPCAKE. I LOVE CUPCAKES. I have an appointment to see my doctor next week, so I’m definitely going to bring this up to her. I’ve never, ever had a problem with my appetite, and it’s kinda pissing me off now.
A blog post I really enjoyed was The Toughest Bad Habit to Kick by Blonde on a Budget. Cait is on a yearlong shopping and takeout coffee ban, and she’s about five months into the project. In this blog post, she’s talking about her experience so far, and how she slipped up once, but is learning from the (slight) mistake.
I’m lucky that most people encourage me to make good choices. Unfortunately, there will always be someone who will guide you to make the bad choice; to give into your cravings because “you deserve it”. But what you really deserve is to reap the rewards that come with making good choices.
The best money I spent was $12 on new towels. Yes, on. new. towels. And I’m excited about my new towels! Hi, my name is Stephany and I am officially a Boring Adult.
My plans this weekend include attending a Christmas party and baking Christmas cookies with my mom, brother, and nephew on Sunday. A very Christmassy weekend indeed!
What was the highlight of your week?

Aw, that is so exciting that you have met someone that you are so excited about! How did you guys meet? Soak up these early exciting days and enjoy every minute of it!!! 🙂 Stories like this are reminders that you just never know when your life is going to change in a big way!
I bought towels in November and LOVE them so I totally get why that is the best money you spend this week. The highlights of my week are using a groupon for a massage on Wednesday and bringing Phil to my work Christmas party last night. It was fun to get all dressed up (again, we’ve done it a lot recently) and go to a fun party which was way nicer/over the top than what I was expecting (they had acrobatics, a girl walking around on stilts, a girl twirling flaming batons, etc).

My heart was bursting with joy when I saw your facebook ‘official’ status. So happy to hear how happy you are. Enjoy it all! Highlight of my week was knocking a bunch of stuff off the to-do list at work and in life, but mostly, I’m looking forward to a weekend where I can sleep in!
Emilie
Oh, Stephany! This post makes my heart so happy! You are so deserving of this. I can’t wait to hear more details 🙂
The highlight of my week was seeing our soon-to-be PUPPY board his transport from Louisiana to make the trek up north. We pick him up tomorrow and I am SO EXCITED!

Aww, so happy for you that you found someone great!
Kara
How did I miss that on FB??! Either way – I’m so happy for you! New romances are always so wonderful; I certainly sometimes miss that feeling of flutters and swooniness from when Kyle and I first started dating. It’s fun!
There’s nothing wrong with being a boring adult! New towels are da bomb, and I got overly excited when I threw out my useless electric can opener and got a new manual one. Ha.
Stevie
I saw the status on Facebook and was so excited for you! Eeeeeek!
Do you think your loss of appetite has something to do with him/your relationship? It sounds like you totally have those swoony wonderful butterflies from being in a new relationship, but they can definitely affect your appetite. Just a thought… 🙂
I’m so, so happy for you!
Erin
I have been waiting with baited breath for this post, especially after the Facebook announcement! Super excited for you! :)))

SO HAPPY FOR YOU and I SO want to hear more. Email me please?
I bet your appetite is off because you are all caught up in the excitement of this new romance in your life. I don’t know if I would stress about it too much. Though it would suck to not be able to eat yummy things because you have no appetite for them!
SO HAPPY FOR YOU! (Yes I am yelling that at you twice)
Malin
I was in love and couldn’t eat at all. Enjoy this wonderful feeling! I’m very happy for you!
My highlight of the week was visiting the christmas market and have African dinner with good friends. We had lot’s of appetite 😉

This made me realize we are not facebook friends, and I don’t now how that happened but I popped over to request immediately. Congratulations on a fabulous week, and so happy about the boyfriend part!
