Happy, happy Friday! This week has moved by at a snail’s pace, and I am thrilled the weekend is within reach. And it’s SUPER BOWL WEEKEND, so there’s honestly nothing better than that. Gooooo, Broncos!
For today, I have an easy “Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow” post to ease us all into the weekend. Play along in the comments!
Yesterday, I…
- Was woken up in the middle of the night by the sound of my dog getting sick. Not. Fun. (He’s fine! Just ate something that didn’t sit well with his sensitive little tummy.)
- Skipped my morning workout since I woke up around 5am with shortness of breath. It happens every so often but usually goes away once I get up and start moving. I think it’s part-anxiety and part-something else? (I should probably talk to my doctor about it, but it doesn’t happen often enough for me to give her a good sense of what’s happening.)
- Wanted to go out for lunch so badly, but I was a good girl at ate my prepared lunch at my desk. Being good (both health-wise and money-wise!) is such a struggle for me. This week has been a battle every. single. day.
- Had a frozen organic pizza for dinner. I was tempted to go out for dinner (see? Every meal is a battle!), but instead, I heated up a pizza and ate it while watching Wednesday’s Nashville episode. It was yummy and I felt a million percent better eating that than I would have going out to eat.
- Went to bed at 8:45pm! Early bedtimes are my jam.
Today, I…
- Woke up at 5am to get in a 40-minute cardio workout. It was challenging, but I felt awesome afterward.
- Will have a bagel for breakfast! Every Friday, my work provides a selection of bagels from Panera Bread and it is probably my favorite part of the work week. (I always go for the cinnamon crunch!)
- Will take a long afternoon nap with my pup. Ahhh.
- Will meet up with my friends for book club tonight! We’re discussing The Rosie Project and it’s the first time I suggested a book so I was nervous that everyone would like it. (And they did! Everyone loved it!) We will start at Ciccio’s for dinner and we always venture over to Menchie’s after dinner for frozen yogurt. It should be a fun night!
Tomorrow, I…
- Will try to sleep in for as long as I can. I always promise myself this every weekend, and then I wind up waking up at 7:30.
- Will spend at least one hour working on fiction. I haven’t done any fiction writing since November and it’s time to get back to it.
- Will finally, finally, finally hang the floating shelves I bought for myself back in late December. It’s been on my to-do list for weeks!
- Will start preparing for the Super Bowl party with my mom! Last year’s was pretty crazy (we had 11 people, plus a baby, last year!) and this year, it should be a bit tamer. We need to decide on a menu, deep clean the apartment, and shop!
- Have a second date planned! Hopefully, it goes as well as the first date. 🙂
What is something you did yesterday, are doing today, and will do tomorrow?

What a fun post idea. I am so using this next week!
Yesterday I had an awesome evening yoga class with my mom. She has been coming to this yoga basics class with me for 4 weeks now and she’s really improving!
Today I’m going out for sushi with two gilfriends. Really looking forward to it.
Tomorrow I will go to yoga, clean our house, read, maybe nap. I doubt I’ll spend too much time outside because we’re going through a serious cold snap right now but I may venture out for a quick hike with Chloe.

Fun post!! Let’s see …
Yesterday I had an awesome yoga class and could feel my poses and balance improving!
Today I hope to go out and buy paint so I can be more motivated to get our master bedroom painted. I’m also hoping to convince my husband that we should go out for sushi for lunch.
Tomorrow is meal planning and grocery shopping day! I find that if I meal plan and shop on the same day, there’s less of a chance for me to stray from my list and adding junk into mu grocery cart.

This is a fun post idea! Good for you for staying strong and not eating out. It’s tough to fight temptation like that! Also, frozen yogurt sounds so good. I haven’t had any in months!!
Yesterday I wished I had my winter coat when I walked to work in 15 degree temps (I left it in MN as I didn’t think I needed it here), today I because an aunt for the 7th time, and tomorrow I am going to water aerobics in the morning and then going to see a friend’s new house she bought.

Oooh, sounds like you have a fun weekend planned. Have fun! My only plans are work, brunch, and Super Bowl. 🙂
Melissa
You went to bed at 8:45! I don’t even think I was home from school at that time! That book club evening sounds amazing though, I’m very jealous ha.
Emilie
Echoing everyone else – I love this post. Might have to borrow it someday 🙂
Yesterday I got sushi for dinner! It was 50% off all rolls, so even better.
Today I am making a bunch of food for the Superbowl. I’m not a big football fan but Pete is so it’s fun to take part in the celebrations.
Tomorrow is Monday so that means back to work. Boo. I’m planning on yoga tomorrow and that’s probably the only thing I look forward to on Mondays!

I have to leave my debit card at home to keep myself from going out for lunch some days. Seems a bit extreme I know, but it works. 😛
Good job resisting temptation!
Nora
I hope you share photos of the floating shelves you bought 🙂 And that you slept in a little bit.
Yesterday I:… didn’t make it to church due to ice on the roads + the sleepiness in my eyes. Hosted just my dad and D for the super Bowl thanks to a stomach bug that was bothering D (Didn’t want to pass it along to my friends!). Started a new book.
Today I:… made it to work, dressed up and ready to tackle the week. Have gotten a lot done! May attempt my first P90x workout tonight.
Tomorrow I:… will be annoyed if we receive more ice. I’m over the ice. Will be back at the office again. Trying for 4 out of 5 days at the office this week. Will be glad it’s not Monday 🙂
