My cousin’s cat Muffin is 19.5 lbs of pure love and sass, and she is my soulmate.
Yesterday, I…
- Had a lovely Thanksgiving dinner with my family. My contribution was cookies, which I baked up in the afternoon. We had delicious food, great conversation, and lots of animal snuggles (my cousin has 3 dogs and 3 cats!).
- Wore a full face of makeup for the first time in months. I rarely wear makeup, other than filling in my brows and putting on mascara, these days. (And I only do those other things if I have meetings or something because they make me look less tired, lol.) It was fun to get all dolled up for Thanksgiving dinner, but it also felt good to come home and take it all off!
- Got cozy on the couch in the evening with the football game on in the background (on mute) and finished one of the books I’ve been reading. Eloise was sleeping right above my head on the top of the couch and Lila was snoozing on the other side of the couch, and it was a wonderful scene with my little family.
Today, I…
- Started my day early with a car service appointment. My car turned two years old a few days ago (well, two years since I bought her), and she needed an oil change, inspection, and tuning diesel upgrades. I love getting my car serviced because they have an amazing waiting area where I can work while my car is being taken care of. For auto repair Forest, VA call Forest Automotive. So I’m catching up on blogs and working on this post!
- Have a few errands to run once my car is finished. I have an order to get from Target, books to drop off at the library, and a prescription to pick up from Publix. Should be easy enough, as I only need to get out of the car for one of those errands, ha.
- Will watch the Dolphins game at 3! It’s such a weird day and time for a football game, but I’m excited to watch my boys play and hopefully come home with a win.
Tomorrow, I…
- Will have my usual writing date with Mikaela! I’ll be working on my blog recategorization project and probably trying to catch up on blog comments.
- Will probably go grocery shopping for the week after my writing date. It’s going to be a weird week to shop for, as I have plans more nights than not since it’s my birthday week!
- Will definitely take a nice, long afternoon nap. The best part of every Saturday! Ha.
What is something you did yesterday, will do/did today, and will do tomorrow?
Suzanne
Hooray for your birthday week!! I hope you have lots of fun things planned.
Jenny
I just got home from work and am watching the Dolphins while eating a piece of pie! Woohoo! I’ll definitely have a Saturday afternoon nap tomorrow… I agree, the best part of Saturday!

Best of luck with your blog recategorization project. I did that a few years ago and while it was tedious to do, in the end it was wonderful to feel in control of what I’d written. [Makes sense?]

Yesterday I enjoyed a delicious Thanksgiving turkey with my family, today I cuddled taco quite a bit as he is still sick. Tomorrow he will hopefully start to turn the corner. I canceled our cookie decorating party on Sunday as I don’t want to risk getting anyone sick. 🙁
We wanted to watch the Dolphin’s game but it was trumped by Taco wanting to watch Madagascar. For the 2nd time that day. Tua is Phil’s fantasy QB and he has a Miami receiver too, I think.
So exciting that it’s your birthday week. Must be kind of nice to have it separated for Thanksgiving a bit? Or do you like when the holiday is super close to your birthday?
Stephany
HA – apologies for Tua’s not-great fantasy performance this week. My brother also has Tua and kept complaining to me about him.

Oh, you’re a Sagittarius! My sisters, my brother, one of my BIL, and my step-mom are all Sagittarius. Great people, all. So clearly, you are good people. It sounds like you had a lovely Thanksgiving.
We had a lovely Thanksgiving as well. Today we went for a walk, lazed around, and now I’m cooking dinner, which is chili made from leftover turkey. YUM.
Stephany
I am a Sagittarius that does not EVER feel like a Sagittarius, which is why I pooh-pooh astrology, lol. Every Sagittarius I’ve met is the OPPOSITE of me. I even went to a tarot card reader once and he was shocked I was a Sag because I don’t give off the Sag vibe. I’m an Aquarius rising/Pisces moon and feel like those signs are much more in line with my personality.

Happy birthday week!!

Happy Birthday!
Your account of the waiting room where you get your car serviced – reminds me of this romance novel my daughter picked up, where the author wrote many a romance novel in the waiting room of her local tire store.

It’s hilarious and inspiring!
Yesterday I made a turkey and was surrounded by loud rambunctious children and today I have peace because my husband has taken them away for an overnight. Tomorrow the chaos returns!
Daria
Loved this post! That kitty is so huggable, I want to smoosh her.
Yesterday: had a nice meal cooked by T, with my small family and two good friends
Today: bought a Christmas gift for T, kids watched the Velveteen Rabbit.
Tomorrow: gymnastics for the kids in the morning, then my son and I are going to see a bubble show in the state theater in N. Brunswick. So, sort of a date- just him and I

All of these days sound so fun and relaxing.
I am amazed that you don’t need to get out of the car for things though. It is a concept we don’t really know here in Germany.
Stephany
Oh, that’s so interesting! I love a good drive-thru. We even have drive-thru libraries where you can pick up your books!
San
Haha, I chuckled about Tobias comments about the “drive-through” options that don’t exist in Germany. I still think it’s odd that there are drive-through pharmacies, library drop offs, etc.
It sounds like you had a really lovely Thanksgiving and also relaxed weekend. And I am excited for your birthday week. Sounds like you have some fun things planned.
Yesterday I did my usual grocery run at Target (and the place was EMPTY at 8:30 am), today I had a Skype-date with a 92-year old family friend from Germany, and tomorrow I’ll bake bread (I haven’t baked in three weeks!)
Anne
OK, the new football schedule this year completely threw me off. (No TV but I do keep up with it online!) Also – are you watching the new season of Hard Knocks??? Just learned that they’re doing the Dolphins for their mid-season show. I thought of you immediately. Of course. 🙂

I WISH! I don’t have Max and don’t feel like coughing up the money for it. WAH.
