January 24, 2026 – Bri and I had our first podcast recording day of the season! We haven’t recorded in over two months, so I may have been a bit rusty, but I really enjoyed the two episodes we recorded.
January 25, 2026 – I decided to try something new for my magic bars recipe and bake it in a graham cracker pie crust. It turned out pretty good, although I think next time I may add an extra layer of graham cracker crumbles to the bottom of the pan because there weren’t enough graham crackers for my liking.
January 26, 2026 – My nightstand is finally all put together! It took me almost the whole month to put it together because I could only do one or two steps every other day before my joints started screaming at me. I love it so much, though. It needs a few more things for decor, but that will come with time.
January 27, 2026 – I meant to take a cute photo of the front of my rheumatology office, but totally forgot. So instead, you get photos of my meds! Today was my blessed rheumatology appointment and I am glad to finally have a diagnosis.
January 28, 2026 – It was a beautiful day – high 50s and sunny – and I was feeling so good that I went out for a walk. It was pain-free and rejuvenating!
January 29, 2026 – I took a midday break on Thursday after a bunch of back-to-back meetings to sit on my patio and read my book. It was 63 degrees and divine.
January 30, 2026 – The only cat photo you get this week! Here is my darling Eloise looking so majestic and adorable, ready for another day of working. (And by working, I mean she takes lots of naps or sits in front of my keyboard, meowing at me for pets.)
What was the last thing you took a photo of?

The last thing I took a picture of was a receipt for work travel (boring!). The last real picture I took was a picture of the Sphere in Las Vegas from my hotel window so I could show it to my boys.
Hooray for being able to go for a walk and feel good/not in pain!!
Receipt = boring. Reimbursement = not so boring!
Ooh, the Sphere was right outside your hotel window? That’s amazing!
Well, i have lots of kitty photos as you can imagine- but the last thing I took a photo of was the screen of my computer, showing a book I want to read- this is my extremely lazy way of putting something on my TBR. After a few weeks I go through my phone and transfer all these random shots onto a written list.
Bundle up!!! I heard there’s a chance of snow flurries in Tampa tomorrow. : )
Hey, that’s not a bad system for inputting your TBR! I should do that because sometimes I hear about a book and mean to add it to Goodreads, but then forget. Gah!
Eloise is ROYALTY.
She wholeheartedly agrees. (And so do I!)
I’m so delighted that you’ve been doing so many things pain-free! Wow! That’s wonderful! Your nightstand is cute, Eloise is so beautiful, and I love these one-photo-a-day posts!
I’m glad you’re enjoying this series. 🙂 It’s been fun to think about what I want to take a photo of each day. (We’ll see how I feel in August, ha.)
I’m so envious of your time on the deck reading – look at that weather. *sob* Hey, today is feb . . . summer is right around the corner. This is one of the lies I keep telling myself.
I’m behind in commenting on blogs. Sorry. This was a busy weekend and we took kay to lunch today and sort of laid out the truth to the tune of ‘move on from the past sister, because you’re stuck and not enjoying what we’re offering’. A longer lunch than anticipated because we really just kept asking her more questions, like WHY? BECAUSE . . . to try to get her to recognize the point we were driving home.
Anyway, that’s not what you asked. You asked what the last photo was that I took on my phone . . . It so could have been an item I found in laundry ‘Who’s is this?’, but I took a photo of my sweater last night. Curly whispered to me at mass, “I don’t like that sweater.” So I made her use my phone to take a photo and then I sent it to Mini to see if she feels similarly. Good thing this wasn’t an earth shattering question, because Mini hasn’t responded. I think I’ll post the photo on my blog tomorrow to go with my post, because I don’t really have a photo for the tough topic anyway.
I love that you can be so open and honest with Kay! Having a dedicated lunch like that where you can really dig into thought patterns and have a deep one-on-one conversation is so crucial, especially at her age. <3
Oooo! Your new nightstand is so pretty and fun! Yay!
Reading outside in those temps does sound divine!!!
Hello, that IS work. #justiceforEloise LOLOLOL
The last thing I took a photo of is my iPad and the Libby App to show Engie how I am reading the book for CBBC 🙂
I love that you were able to read on your balcony!
I love these snapshots. Sitting outside reading book does sound divine.
As you realize I read this late so my last photo was of a valentines cake.
So glad you are feeling well enough for walks! 🙂
Also appreciate the lone kitty photo. Not having any pets, I live for photos of others’ pets. 🙂
