March 7, 2026 – Game night! I made my world-famous oatmeal chocolate chip cookies (recipe here!) and we played Life, Racko, and 5 Second Rule.
March 8, 2026 – A low-key Sunday. Eloise was looking particularly cute this morning, as she got solar-powered for the day.
March 9, 2026 – My friend Lynn and I have a new tradition of gifting each other a book event for our birthday, so I was finally able to cash in on my birthday present! Lisa Unger is a local author who is also a renowned thriller writer, and she just released a new book this month! It was great to hear about her writing process and how this book came to be. I can’t wait to read it!
March 10, 2026 – Mmmm, pizza date! Bri and I went to our favorite local spot in Safety Harbor and then went back to her house to record two podcast episodes. We didn’t start recording until after 8 p.m., so I wasn’t sure if we’d have enough time to record both episodes, but luckily, they were on the shorter side.
March 11, 2026 – Sweet Lila Bear! I was making breakfast in the morning and saw her lying on the couch with her belly exposed. I very politely asked if I could pet her belly, and she said yes.
March 12, 2026 – I took a risk and went for a walk right before a big rainstorm threatened. It started sprinkling when I was halfway done, but didn’t start come down harder until I was steps away from my apartment. Whew!
March 13, 2026 – There are so many pictures I could have taken from today, since it was a busy one, but I did not take any pictures until I was at home, curled up in my reading chair and settling down with a sweet romance. So that’s what you get!
What’s the last photo you took?

The author event sounds so fun! I love that you do game nights with your family. I love playing board games and would love to do more family game nights when my youngest is able to follow along with more games.
I love these posts! It’s a good thing you asked Lila if you could pet her tummy!
We’re calving on the ranch, so the last photo I took was of a new calf. So cute!
Sounds like a good week, and I’m glad you didn’t get dumped on in the rain!
The last picture I took was of a funny front yard we saw last night on our way to dinner. I’m sure it will end up on my blog soon, either a Wordless Wednesday or a Friday Randomness.
That author event sounded so fun. How cool that she’s a local author, too! I love going to author events!
The last photo I took was of Paul reading to Taco at the library! He doesn’t do that often as they have different interests in books and can be kind of, um, quarrelsome. So it’s very sweet when they have a calm moment like that!
That 5 Second Rule game looks fun! I need more games in my life!
I am here for the cookie recipe– p[lz post the link! I just got that book from my library holds– I love her!
I know that bookstore! That sounds like a fun event.
Love the cat photos (obviously).
The last photo I took was of my Garmin to show I ran 3.14 miles- to send to a blogger friend whose birthday is 3/14. I did a “pi” run! I know, so nerdy.
That pizza looks amazing. *sigh* (that’s my celiac self sighing, don’t mind me). I’ve lived on the edge before – hoping not to get rained on when I’m on a run or a walk. Glad you made it back just in time. Hooray for game night! And cute cat pics.
So many fun social dates!!!
I love how you asked Lila and she told you yes but her face still says “not sure” lol.
That is a cute cover for the Amsterdam book! I am looking forward to reading your review.
The last photo I took was out my work window to show Steven the sun is out here (it isn’t as his office yet).
