May 23, 2026 – Family game night! My younger nephew (11) loves What Do You Meme?, but we play the family edition, so it’s quite different! Lots of bathroom jokes.
May 24, 2026 – I was only going to read for a few minutes, but then Eloise settled right in between my legs, and she looked so sweet that I couldn’t disturb her. More reading time? Yes, please!
May 25, 2026 – Memorial Day! You get two pictures because I couldn’t resist either of them. In one, Lucy looks like she’s posing for Dachshund Daily, and in the other, Chip and Lucy floating in the pool on a raft makes me smile so much. I love these little monsters!
May 26, 2026 – Just Lila being the meowdel that she is. We took a short nap on the couch this afternoon, and it was delightful!
May 27, 2026 – Trivia night! Our team name is Last Place Legends, and yep, we came in last place like always. Booyah!
May 28, 2026 – It’s time for their cat “medication”! See how cute they are? How can I resist them?!
May 29, 2026 – Book club night! We started with Greek food, then moved on to an escape room, where we succeeded! Well, my friends succeeded. I was good at shining flashlights when people needed them and being the comedic relief.
Have you ever done an escape room?

I love a good bathroom joke! What Do You Meme? is so fun!
I love all the pet pics!
What was your escape room like? I have done two and luckily I had smart people with me for each lol.
It was a fun escape room! Lots of codes we needed to unlock different locks. And then there was a second room where there was a severed body in an oven and “Nana” hanging from a rope in a closet. SO REALLY FUN STUFF.
Every photo is just so wonderful! Doggies on a pool floatie! Awwww, that’s the best thing I’ve seen in quite some time! And of course, the kitties are stunning. I have never done an escape room, and I think I’d find it terrifying.
Escape rooms are getting scarier and scarier, I think! I’m impressed with all the work people put into them, but whew. They are not for us highly sensitive people!
Lucy! She’s such a diva. I mean, Lila, Eloise, and Chip are darling, but Lucy takes center stage, doesn’t she? It’s like how Zelda is top of the food chain in our house. No one can compete with her charisma.
Lucy is SUCH a diva, you’re right! And she knows it!
Ha ha, I like the name of your trivia team.
Chip and Lucy are hilarious. I’ll admit, that’s one thing dogs have over cats- cats can’t hang at the pool with us. But they CAN sleep on the couch between our legs while we’re reading, which is obviously the best.
Yes, I love having the best of both worlds. Cats at home and then dogs when I need a different kind of energy around me. We always joke at how differently my mom’s dogs greet me vs my cats greeting my mom. Ha.
That family game night sounded amazing! I love game nights! I’m trying to do them with friends more often. Paul would love that game – I will have to buy it for my parents’ where we tend to play games w/ the cousins.
I have only done an escape room once and it was part of an offsite event in Charlotte. We broke into 3 teams and my team was the only one that lost. Womp womp. But we also had the hardest room of the 3. I would like to do it again but not with coworkers!! 😛
Definitely pick up the family version of What Do You Meme! I think your boys would really love it. We also really love Five Second Rule.
Escape rooms are so hard! I’m glad I have very smart friends, lol.
