April 25, 2026 – A little brother/sister love session! Lucy adores her big brother, and I very much agree with her!
April 26, 2026 – I’m loving my Sundays right now. It’ll be good to be back in football season in a few months, but it’s also so wonderful to have these lazy Sundays at home with my girls.
April 27, 2026 – I went for a nice walk on Monday after my meetings were done for the day, and it felt so great to be out in the sunshine and getting some movement!
April 28, 2026 – I showed you some photos already from Tuesday, but here’s a photo that didn’t make it in. These scratchers are such a hit with my cats! I probably buy a new one every other month because they use them so much!
April 29, 2026 – Not the most beautiful photo ever, but I need new shorts for the summer and Old Navy is usually a safe bet for me. I’m happy with my purchases!
April 30, 2026 – Fresh hair day, fresh hair day! My hair had lightened up a lot and I was starting to see more gray hairs than I liked, so it felt good to get the color freshened up and a trim.
May 1, 2026 – I sat down in the middle of my day to read a few chapters of my book, and Eloise decided to perch her tiny behind on my leg and stare me down. Eventually, she let me get up but not after a lot of pets and purring! (Also, you can barely see it, but she has a new collar! The sunflower on her old collar became very raggedy and I started finding “petals” everywhere in my apartment, so it was time for something new.)
Where do you buy your shorts (if you wear them; I know shorts can be a divisive topic!)?

Yes! It’s actually a place AT my apartment complex. So pretty, right?!
I’ll stir the pot and make shorts even more divisive by telling you were I get mine. Amazon! I don’t love them as a business, and my guess is that when it comes to clothing specifically there is probably less to love going on behind the scenes. However, my bottom half is very tricky to fit and I’ve had good luck with their shorts. If we’re talking jeans, then it’s Old Navy all the way!
New hair, new collar, and lots of kitty snuggles! It’s been a good week all around.
So these jeans from Old Navy… it was like Goldilocks. One was too big, one was too small, and one was just right. SIGH. So I went and got some from Amazon. Shh!
I do not wear shorts. I have never found ones that feel and look good. I tend to wear skorts in the warm summer months. I do wear shorts when working out, though.

I don’t think shorts look good on me, either, but I prefer them to dresses/skirts. I think I look frumpy in dresses (which is just a me thing, I think).

I get my shorts at Kohl. I have a few Judy Blue pairs as well but don’t like them as much.

The only shorts I wear are exercise ones, and I get them from lululemon. I also get skorts from there!
So many skorts lovers! I need to try them out. I don’t think I’ve worn a skort since I was a kid, ha!
I did notice the new collar right away! How does she like it?
I haven’t bought shorts in a long time, and I’m definitely due. The last ones I got from TJ Maxx, but I’ve gotten them from Old Navy in the past. Actually my favorite pair are from Old Navy- I should try to go back and get the same ones if I can.
Ah, football season. On Sunday I was longing for a game so much, I almost put on golf. Almost. Not quite there yet.
Eloise seems to like the new collar! She hasn’t tried to remove it, at least. Ha!
